This year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is to be held by zoom on Thursday 12th November (max participation 100) and I’m pleased to advise that the meeting agenda and all relevant papers are now available in the Members Area of the club website under ‘Documents’ and ‘AGM 2020’. Members will note from the agenda that the following nominations have been received for the officers to be elected:
Secretary: Peter KNOWLES
Treasurer: Tony FOX
Chair of Green: Simon WILKINSON
Chair of House: Ian PENNY
Men’s Handicap Secretary: Duncan HALL
As there is only one nomination for each position no poll will be required and Mr President, as Chair of the meeting, will propose that the above members are elected en-bloc.
Unfortunately no nominations were received for either of the following Positions:
Vice-President (a club director)
and in this case the Club’s Articles of Association allow for persons to be co-opted by the directors (for the Vice-President position) and the ‘other elected officers’ (for the Membership Secretary).
To this end I’m pleased to advise that for the Membership Secretary post the present office holder, Ian Jane, has agreed to continue for just one more year. Thank you Ian.
Finally, given this year’s unique AGM circumstances and in the interests of total transparency, your directors encourage you to review the agenda and papers and send any questions you may have to myself as below. A resume of all the questions received by Friday 6th November with answers will be distributed to all members before the AGM.
Last, but not least, joining details for the zoom meeting will be sent much closer to the date and details of the new Tier 3 arrangements will also follow shortly.
