COVID policies and procedures to be lifted from next Monday 19th July – well almost!
Some are calling next Monday 19th July ‘Freedom Day’ whilst others will wish to proceed with caution. However throughout the COVID pandemic your Management Committee has followed EGU and government guidance and this means that effective from next Monday most COVID policies and procedures will be lifted.

This means:
* On-course procedures will revert to normal i.e. flagsticks can be removed and standard hole cups will return, bunker rakes will be returned and the Local Rule re preferred lies in bunkers will be withdrawn, ball-washers and waste bins will return etc;
* In competition you MUST exchange scorecards and revert to normal practice i.e. you must no longer mark your own card;
* Practice facilities will no longer require pre-booking and there will be no limit on numbers using these facilities;
* No masks will be required in the clubhouse or Pro-Shop and the changing rooms and showers will be fully operational;
* Normal bar service will be resumed i.e. at table service only will end.

Effectively members should now assume personal responsibility for their safety and adopt procedures that reflect their own perception of risk i.e. you don’t have to touch flagsticks or bunker rakes, you may continue to wear masks in indoor spaces if you wish and you should adopt social distancing policies with which you feel comfortable.

However, whilst many things are returning to pre-COVID norms some COVID policies and procedures will continue for the time being as follows:
* You should continue pre-booking tee-times online i.e. no walk-ups;
* You are encouraged to enter competitions and your score via the App;
* Roll-ups and shotgun starts will be discouraged and therefore Men’s Night and SOGO will continue to function as now.

Hopefully this effectively explains things but please don’t hesitate to contact me as below should you need any further information or clarification.

In the meantime please remember the return to on-course normality when playing your next competition.

Stay safe.
